The starting point for one of the most authentic and iconic routes begins at Jacint Raventós square with Argenteria street, the gateway to one of the most historic and charming neighborhoods in Barcelona.

We begin by enjoying the fabulous pintxos at Sagardi: a Basque tavern with a large pintxos bar, those small, flavorful, and colorful bites that you’ll want to try them all! The restaurant, adorned with barrels embedded in the wall, is located on one of the busiest and favorite streets for tourists and locals, not only for its wide pedestrian sidewalks but also because it seamlessly combines fashion and gastronomy.

After tasting some tapas with a good txacolí or beer, you’ll continue your walking tour through the narrow streets of the neighborhood. We’ll share insights into the illustrious personalities for whom the streets are named, and you’ll delight in the magnificent views of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, one of the finest examples of 14th-century Catalan Gothic architecture.

On your journey, you’ll encounter signature restaurants, design shops, chocolate shops, and cafes, as well as small local businesses. You’ll understand why the Born neighborhood exudes tradition and modernity, leisure, and culture.

Wandering no more than 15 minutes, you’ll reach the neighborhood that was once the ancient fishermen’s district. You’ll still find marks on its cobblestone streets and feel the scent of the sea. Following that trail, you’ll arrive at Cadaqués restaurant, where you’ll experience a true culinary immersion that transports you to the fishermen of Cadaqués, a small Catalan municipality known as the “white village of Dalí.” Here, you’ll savor authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

The restaurant is divided into various spaces, decorated in the purest Ampurdán style; noble materials, textures, and colors create a cozy and charming atmosphere. You’ll taste exceptional wood-fired rice dishes, the best example that slow-cooked cuisine with fresh fish and seafood is a delight for the senses!

A few steps from the restaurant, and as the final point to this experience, you’ll find the Museum of the History of Catalonia, a typical 19th-century port architecture building, a unique space and a symbol of Barcelona’s cultural heritage.

The rooftop terrace of the 1881 restaurant, with incredible views and sunsets, awaits you to savor the classic Catalan dessert: crema catalana, that smooth custard with subtle hints of cinnamon and citrus and a crispy sugar crust… yum! And there’s more, as a culmination, we encourage you to try those delicious bites of cocoa, the sagardoz truffles, which pair perfectly with a glass of cava, while you continue to enjoy the views.
