Due to its international fame, I had been curious to visit Benidorm, often referred to as the “Manhattan of the Mediterranean.” Besides its pleasant climate, I thought there must be something else special about it that contributes to its success throughout the year.

Considering the current situation, it seemed like a somewhat daring proposition, but my enthusiasm outweighed any reservations. I decided to book a hotel in Benidorm to experience its atmosphere and enjoy a cheerful summer.

Upon our arrival, we greatly appreciated the security measures and respect, both at the hotel and on the beaches. The abundance of restaurants and bars, shops, the beach atmosphere, and a bustling city full of life and joy exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by how well-prepared Benidorm is for visitors.

For those travelers seeking more tranquility, it can be found in nearby villages such as Altea, Villajoyosa, and others—traditional and authentic seaside towns of great beauty with their clear blue waters. There’s no need to travel far to enjoy breathtaking views, dive alongside various fish species, and revel in the vast and clean beaches.

Benidorm is well-equipped for tourism, catering to the needs of people with reduced mobility. The infrastructure allows them to move with the same ease as other travelers. Since 2018, Benidorm has had an accessible tourist map designed for blind and hearing-impaired individuals, outlining an accessible route through the old town for wheelchair users.

There are three accessible beaches: Levante Beach, Poniente Beach, and Poniente Parque Elche Beach. Each is equipped with appropriate urban infrastructure (ramps, changing rooms, shaded areas, etc.) and trained personnel to facilitate access to both the sandy areas and the water.

There is a range of buses available, accommodating from 24 to 71 seats, which can be adapted to meet specific needs. Additionally, there is a wide variety of companies offering scooters for individuals with reduced mobility.

To ensure the best possible service for all users, it is advisable for groups or organizations intending to use these facilities to provide advance notice. This helps prevent any overcrowding at the three designated points.
